    Umm… what if the error checking doesn’t work? when i clicked on it, it froze and won’t open the thingy =(…

    Wouldn’t checking a hard drive for errors if it’s failing cause it to run harder and therefore fail on you? I would suggest backing it up before running any kind of hdd test if you suspect a failure.
